The Role
The role of Senior Construction Trainer will play a crucial role in developing and delivering training programs for our construction staff. You will be responsible for ensuring that our employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively and safely. This position requires a combination of construction expertise, training experience, and a passion for developing others.
This role will be a field based role with regular travel nationwide. The salary ranges from £60,000 - £80,000 depending on experience.
Principal accountabilities of the role include:
- Design, develop, and update training programs for construction staff, Construction Managers and Site Managers
- Create training materials such as manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules
- Ensure training programs align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Fully embed Field View, Bellways field based digital platform for site teams
- Conduct classroom-based and on-site training sessions
- Utilise various training methods, including hands-on demonstrations, workshops, and interactive activities
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to our employees
- Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to help employees improve their skills and performance
- Assist in the development of individual training plans and career progression paths
- Ensure all training programs comply with health and safety regulations
- Promote a culture of safety on all construction sites
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure training content is current and relevant
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and certifications
- Prepare regular reports on training progress and outcomes for senior management
- Track and analyse training metrics to identify areas for improvement
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Experience
- Proven experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes and practices
- Previous experience in a training within the construction sector
- Knowledge of best practices in construction
Qualifications and Training
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, education, or a related field
Skills and Aptitude
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners
- Proficiency in using training software and e-learning platforms
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Passionate about training and development
